My name is Isabella Littleford, and I bring over a decade of deep immersion in the world of fashion, always with a focus on how high style fits into everyday living.
With over a decade immersed in the fashion industry, I’ve had the honor of sharpening my skills in Paris—the heart of haute couture and partnering with renowned design icons worldwide. That experience taught me to recognize luxury-level detail, forward-thinking design, and pieces that last. Golden Goose sneakers have long caught my attention, a brand that effortlessly marries a distressed, lived-in vibe with refined construction and premium materials. Today, I’m offering my insights into several of the Superstar editions, highlighting their aesthetics, practicality, and adaptability.
If you’re someone who lives for limited-edition sneakers or just wants a polished casual shoe, I’m here to help you understand the appeal with advice shaped by my industry experience. Come with me as we unpack what sets these sneakers apart!
I purchased my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers a few months ago (and shared them first in this post!), and have been asked a lot about them ever since. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! I’ve also worn them enough now that I understand how they really perform, and a bunch of related details about them, which you’ll see broken down further.
So I’m diving into a bunch of popular FAQs, as well as how to grab them for less, below! Also, if you’re interested in more try-ons and reviews, check out my Abercrombie vs. Agolde jean shorts review, Goyard St. Louis GM Tote review, and Dudley Stephens fleece review!
Where did you score your pair?
Cettire had them on sale and I took advantage right away!
Placed my order on the 28th of April and they were delivered by the 30th, so the shipping was super fast .
How much do they cost?
When I men’s golden gooses ordered my pair in April, I paid $385.43, but their full price is around $514.
You can expect to pay between four hundred bucks and $1,700 depending on their uniqueness.
Do they fit as expected?
I’d say they fit true to size, based on my pair.
They haven’t stretched at all, so if you’re between sizes, I’d go up
Is the comfort worth it?
They required minimal break-in time..
Do they hold up well?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they’ve held up beautifully. No glitter has fallen off, and the shape stayed solid. Since the aesthetic is distressed, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
How are they vs. other brands?
They’re the highest quality sneakers I have. I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose still come out on top. There’s a secret wedge inside that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is custom-feeling. And the glitter on mine? Stunning.
Would you recommend them?
Totally! Though I suggest looking for a deal. They cost a lot, so getting them discounted is worth it. They’re worth the investment, especially if you pick something you’ll wear a lot. I chose a loud pair, but a minimalist version would also look great.
